NFC (Near Field Communication) is what is used for credit cards, smartphones, and other devices where identity is being validated.  This technology can be used by charger owners to identify users, unlock the charger, and even create billing functionality for users.  The FastAmps Alpha7 EV charger will have this functionality in the near future, as an optional extra.  Contact us if you are interested.
